Last week’s Rangers Reacts Survey asked, in light of the (very depressing, in my opinion) Corey Seager trade rumors, whether you thought the Rangers should deal Seager at the trade deadline.
The Rangers, obviously, didn’t trade Seager, which makes me happy, but that’s a separate discussion.
Most folks aren’t interested in giving Corey Seager away, as 39% of respondents said Seager only should be traded if the Rangers could get a premium return for him, while 35% said no, don’t trade Seager. Just 26%
of respondents wanted Texas to move Seager, period.
On the national question, just 58% of those responding thought the Tigers would trade Tarik Skubal. That is much less than I would have guessed…and, of course, Skubal was traded to the Dodgers for an impressive haul led by consensus top 50 prospect Zyhir Hope, with high-upside pitching prospect River Ryan and 2023 3rd rounder Brady Smith also going to Detroit.
