The Golden State Warriors look to snap a two-game losing streak with Sunday night’s home matchup against the Indiana Pacers. The game will be played at 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors lost Friday’s road matchup against the Denver Nuggets, 129–104. Golden State couldn’t
keep up with Denver’s offensive firepower, especially with Stephen Curry sidelined once again due to illness. The Nuggets’ trio of Nikola Jokić, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon combined for 67 points, while the Warriors had to rely on a surprisingly hot shooting night from Draymond Green, who scored 17 points on 5-of-10 from three.
Despite Green’s effort, the game was largely uncompetitive as Denver emptied its bench early in the fourth quarter with a comfortable 20-point lead. After the game, Green emphasized the team’s need to improve defensively.
What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors enter Sunday night’s matchup with a 5–5 record after starting the season 4–1. Their opponent, the reigning Eastern Conference champion Pacers, are 1–8 this season with their lone win coming from a 114–109 victory over Golden State a little over a week ago. While the Warriors are 1–5 on the road, they remain undefeated at home, making tonight’s game against a struggling Indiana team a key opportunity to get back on track before embarking on a six-game road trip.
