Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao 2 is back on the table.
Both sides were able to agree on an “amended deal” following the collapse of their Sphere showdown, previously planned for Sept. 19 in Las Vegas. The fight will remain in “Sin City,” but shift to the nearby T-Mobile Arena on Sept. 25, according to an update from Ring Magazine.
The entire card will stream live on Netflix.
Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) was last seen sleepwalking his way through back-to-back fights against John Gotti III, part of
his exhibition retirement tour that still hasn’t generated enough to pay this tab. As for Pacquiao (62-8-3), he recently ended his retirement to draw Mario Barrios last July in Las Vegas.
Two “sweet science” icons … but does anyone care enough to watch it?
“He lost,” Mayweather said after defeating “Pac Man” back in 2015. “He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this. He’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.’ I’m not going to buy into [the injury excuse] and I don’t want the public to buy into it.”
