The Cleveland Browns now have their new head coach, Todd Monken. Everything else is still up in the air. Monken will reportedly bring George Warhop in to coach the Browns offensive line, as Cleveland will need
to start filling out their coaching staff as quickly as possible. There are still questions about whether or not DC Jim Schwartz will remain with the team , something he seems dead set against.
While few believe that Monken will build around QB Shedeur Sanders, the young quarterback “has a chance,” fits with Monken’s offense, and resembles some quarterbacks from Monken’s past.
Monken is reportedly looking to his past for coaches on both sides of the ball, including requesting permission to interview Danny Breyer for his pass game coordinator position. The 35-year-old Breyer spent the last three seasons working for the Baltimore Ravens, focused on the tight ends. Prior to that, the Cincinnati native and graduate of the University of Akron spent three seasons each with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Prior to his time in the NFL, Breyer was on college staffs at Indiana, Illinois, and Akron.
