A year after signing a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, following the experation of his rookie contract, former Green Bay Packers first-round pick cornerback Eric Stokes inked a three-year, $30 million contract to remain with the Raiders moving forward. This is the second big move the Raiders’ secondary has made in the past couple of days, as they also performed a late-round pick swap to add former Buffalo Bills slot defender Tarron Johnson, leading up to the NFL’s “legal tampering
period.”
As we wrote about last month, Stokes is probably the third-most-consistent young cornerback on the market this free agency, behind just Jaylen Watson and Tariq Woolen, who are expected to be the two highest-paid cornerback in free agency in 2026. Notably, though, Stokes didn’t get the roughly $18 million per that starting cornerbacks received on the open market last year, so the Raiders are able to hedge their bets a little here.
Stokes’ career in Green Bay started off strong before two scheme changes and several injuries sort of derailed his career early on.
