Alright, some real baseball played. And not just that, these two teams decided that they wanted to play two games on the day, old school style.
Outside of Gage Wood and with the trade of Ramon Marquez, has Brad Pacheco taken over as the team’s top pitching prospect? He threw only three innings yesterday, allowing three runs in those innings, but striking out six. He’s had a good season for them. Over the course of the two games, the offense saw Will Gasparino have three hits over the two games, Tyler Spangler score two runs in game two and Cade Bogenpohl have a double in game one. Yet it was game two in which the bats came to play. Jack Hopko had three hits and scored two runs, Cade Climie score three runs and Matt Quintanar have two hits as well.
It was a slow night for the minor leagues.
