Aoriqileng was not getting paid by the hour at UFC Vancouver.
The veteran bantamweight needed just a single straight right hand down the middle to absolutely demolish Cody Gibson just 21 seconds into their fight at UFC Vancouver.
The fight barely got started when Gibson threw an inside leg kick and Aoriqileng countered with the right hand that blasted the Ultimate
Fighter veteran on the jaw and sent him crashing to the canvas in a heap. Aoriqileng followed him down to the ground for a few more punches but the fight was effectively already over.
The referee rushed in to rescue Gibson with the official stoppage coming at just 21 seconds into the first round.
The knockout serves as Aoriqileng’s first win since 2023 when he defeated Johnny Munoz. In his past two fights, Aoriqileng ended up with a no-contest due to an accidental groin kick and then falling by decision to Raul Rosas Jr.
Now Aoriqileng has another knockout to add to his resume after he flattened Gibson in vicious fashion in the first round at UFC Vancouver.
