What is the story about?
The Portland City Council is meeting this morning, hearing public testimony on proposed funding to renovate the Moda Center, the arena which the Portland Trail Blazers call home. The city is debating committing $120 million in funding, part of a larger $600+ million package to update the arena split between Portland, Multnomah County, and the State of Oregon. The state has already approved their portion, north of $360 million. City and County participation remain in doubt.
