The Hoosiers beat Alabama 38-3 on January 1 in the Rose Bowl, which doubled as a College Football Playoff
Quarterfinal. They followed it up by beating Oregon 56-22 on January 9 in the Peach Bowl, a playoff semifinal, advancing to the National Championship Game.
