The Chicago Bears talked a big game heading into their Week 5 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. That didn’t exactly work out well for them when the two teams actually played their game on Sunday afternoon.
The Packers dropped bomb after bomb on the Bears’ defense as Jordan Love connected with Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Kraft in an impressive aerial display. When the dust cleared, the Packers emerged with a 31-7 win, pulling even with the Bears on record at 3-2 and earning an important
early-season head-to-head win.
After the game, a few Packers players made it clear that they didn’t appreciate the comments that they heard the Bears making during the offseason and during this week. And so they went out and did something about it — they worked on themselves during the week and attacked their opponent’s greatest weakness, the secondary.
Love finished the day with the most passing yards by any Packers quarterback against the Bears in a Lambeau Field game, 369, and both Watson and Golden had more than 120 receiving yards. The defense cleaned up with five turnovers. And all in all, the team avoided the self-inflicted mistakes that have cost them wins this year.
The two teams will meet again on Christmas Day. But for now, the Packers can be the ones to talk for a while — if they want to.

Were These the Real Packers? 3 Reasons To Be Truly Excited After Rout of Bears | SI.comPerhaps one of the best reasons to be excited was that the Packers didn’t beat themselves — they committed just four penalties for 25 yards, a season-low in both categories, and they won the turnover battle 5 to 0.
These are the funniest wildlife photos of the year — and you better believe there’s a ‘sexy mantis’ | The IndependentUnfortunately, this year’s nominees do not have a single photo of a bear doing something embarrassing. But that’s okay because Ben Johnson’s squad did enough of that on Sunday. Ba-zing!
