The New England Patriots were not able to get the job done in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. Nonetheless, the main sentiment in the locker room is that a team with plenty of young players under contract will be back in the near future.
“S—t hurts,” cornerback Carlton Davis said, “but I’ve got a feeling we’ll be back.”
New England will now get to work to make that happen in the 2026-27 season. But despite reaching the Super Bowl this year, they appear to have their work cut
out for them next season based off Super Bowl odds on FanDuel Sportsbook:
- Seattle Seahawks +750
- Los Angeles Chargers +800
- Baltimore Ravens +1200
- Buffalo Bills +1200
- Green Bay Packers +1300
- Los Angeles Chargers +1500
- Philadelphia Eagles +1500
- Detroit Lions +1600
- Kansas City Chiefs +1600
- New England Patriots +1700
While the Seahawks are favored to repeat as champions, the Patriots have the 10th best odds in the league to hoist the Lombardi Trophy next season. That includes four AFC teams ahead of them, including Lamar Jackson’s Ravens, Josh Allen’s Bills, Justin Herbert’s Chargers, and Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs.
Both the Ravens and Bills will feature new head coaches while Los Angeles will now have Mike McDaniel call offensive plays. The Chiefs also project to have plenty of work to do surrounding Mahomes with talent on their roster after missing the playoffs this past season for the first time since 2014.
