For the third consecutive season, the Missouri Tigers are off to a 4-0 start under head coach Eli Drinkwitz. After Saturday’s 29-20 win over South Carolina in their SEC opener, Mizzou has moved up three spots to No. 20 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
In the early portion of the season,
the defense is operating at a high-level and the offense is a well-oiled machine. Mizzou’s total defense currently ranks 8th in the country, and the Tigers’ total offense currently ranks 6th. In their first two rivalry swing games of the season against the Jayhawks and Gamecocks, Missouri took care of business — winning both games by two scores and dominating the box score stats.
Up next for Mizzou is their final non-conference game against UMass on Saturday night prior to their first bye week. Then, the Tigers’ gauntlet starts on October 11th vs No. 17 Alabama — a stretch of playing four ranked teams in their final seven games. Later, Nathan Hurst will write that everything is on the table for this Mizzou team moving forward.
As of right now, Missouri is one of 30 undefeated FBS teams with their unblemished 4-0 record. In our latest SB Nation Reacts survey, we ask you this: How would you grade the Tigers’ start in 2025 under Eli Drinkwitz?
A+ (confident this team will make the CFP)
A (very good team that will be in CFP contention throughout the season)
B+ (good, solid team that will finish well over .500)
B (4-0 start is good, but not quite sold yet)
