The #9 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel west to finish the regular season against the Stanford Cardinal, and are looking to go 10-2 and get its second consecutive berth in the college football playoff. Outside of everything else that a playoff berth requires, the biggest one is that Notre Dame actually beats Stanford.
One of the quirkier things about playing at Stanford to end the season in the odd years is that we never know how bad the field conditions will be. Stanford Stadium is notorious
for having turf issues, and bad weather only makes it worse.
This year, however, we are looking at some very reasonable northern California weather for a night game. And for a Notre Dame / Stanford game, it will be dry.
Throughout the day the skies will be clear and they should reach a high of around 62 degrees, but it will cool off around kickoff to around 48 degrees — with clear skies and minimal wind.
