CM Punk said he’d like to take on his long-time rival Seth Rollins in a hair versus hair match, at least on WWE 2K26. His main reason for this old-school stipulation is he objects to a certain hairstyle The Visionary commonly uses.
The comment came during an interview with Punk on the Up & Adams podcast on FanDuel TV, in which he discussed being on the cover of WWE 2K26. After a graphic showed the image of the game for podcast viewers, Punk made note of his own appearance on the cover.
“Look at that
hair. That’s beautiful,” he said.
“Seth Rollins must hate this,” host Kay Adams interjected.
“Oh, yeah. I don’t know if he’s ever been on the cover of a video game,” Punk said. “I mean, he’s been chasing me his entire career.”
Later, Adams asked the WWE World Heavyweight Champion how he would book any two wrestlers in a fantasy 2K match.
His first answer was a match against his wife.
“I would do CM Punk versus AJ Lee, and the loser does the dishes,” he said jokingly. “I don’t know if that’s a stipulation in the game. We might have to wait until next year when you guys put AJ on the cover.”
Next he pitched a hair versus hair match against Rollins.
“I also don’t know if this is a stipulation: I would do CM Punk against Seth Rollins, and the loser must shave his head,” Punk said to Adams. “Because I would love to see what he looks like bald.”
“Why? Why is that a thing?” Adams asked.
“Because it’d be funny. His stupid head, bald. Really, I’m very anti-man bun,” Punk said, referencing how Rollins frequently twists his hair up.
“You’re not a man bun guy,” Adams said.
“Everybody has these man buns. Roman [Reigns] has one,” Punk continued. “I don’t want a man bun.”
Later in the segment, Punk showed Adams how to place fellow guest Rob Gronkowski in an Anaconda Vice.
“I can tell that’s powerful. If those were CM Punk’s arms, I would have been in danger,” the retired NFL star said of the submission move.
Punk’s appearance ended with Adams putting on his WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt before she exclaimed: “WrestleMania 42. Roman Reigns, I don’t know you, but you’re going down, buddy.”
As of right now, no stipulations have been announced for Punk’s match against Reigns at April’s WrestleMania.
