This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and
internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place Aug. 1-8, 2026 — Night Two of SummerSlam, Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, MLW Fusion, Collision, AAA & CMLL’s weekly shows, New Japan’s G1 36, and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting.
But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup.

- The Ruler’s SummerSlam accomplishments gave him a comfortable victory over the new AEW Women’s champ crowned at Redemption six days earlier.
- In third we had the new National champion AEW crowned in Montreal two weeks back AND the WWE woman who won her division’s version of the Intercontinental title on SmackDown.
- For the middle of our last pack, it was back to Night One of WWE’s big summer extravaganza. Our fifth place finisher retained her WWE Women’s World belt in Minneapolis, and our sixth place finisher impressed the world in his first match in nearly three years… against Gunther, no less.
- A person many consider one of the best wrestlers of the 20th century and the current holder of AEW’s Men’s World title finished one spot ahead of a comedy wrestler who bombed in L.A., because wrestling (and its fans) are weird sometimes.
- WWE’s newest funny man managed to finish one spot ahead of its Undisputed champ, because… well, you just read why.
