City to come back around for Pavlović next summer? (Fußball News)
It is no secret that Manchester City pursued Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović last summer, but Pep Guardiola’s former club is apparently not done with the Germany international.
In addition, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Manchester United are also interested in the 22-year-old:
Aleksandar Pavlović has long since established himself as one of Bayern Munich’s most important central midfielders. His performances have not gone unnoticed by Europe’s top clubs. According to information
from fussball-news.de, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Manchester United are among those seriously considering signing the 22-year-old German international.
Manchester City, in particular, are said to have intensified their interest. The English top club has already initiated initial exploratory talks and would reportedly be prepared to invest a transfer fee in the region of €100 million for Pavlović.
Real Madrid and PSG are also closely monitoring the development of the Bayern Munich academy graduate. Both clubs see Pavlović as a highly interesting candidate to strengthen their midfield in the long term. Manchester United also has the 22-year-old on their radar.
Bayern Munich’s management considers the midfielder an indispensable part of their long-term squad planning. The Munich native came through the club’s youth academy and has since established himself as a regular starter for the first team.
Internally, Pavlović is even considered a potential future team captain. Accordingly, the German record champions place great importance on their homegrown talent.
Furthermore, there’s the contractual situation. Pavlović is still under contract with FC Bayern until June 30, 2029. This means the Munich club isn’t under pressure to consider any potential offers.
Even 100 million euros is not enough for Bavaria.
The German international’s market value is now estimated at around 90 million euros. Manchester City would apparently be prepared to exceed this figure.FC Bayern has not set an official price. According to information from fussball-news.de, the club’s management has deliberately refrained from setting a price tag for Pavlović, as a sale is categorically ruled out.
The 22-year-old possesses numerous sporting qualities that make him attractive to top international clubs. Pavlović impresses with his game intelligence, his composure on the ball, and his ability to find solutions even under intense pressure from the opposition.
The right-footed player plays a particularly important role in the build-up play. With his positioning, passing accuracy, and tackling, he is one of the key figures in Munich’s midfield.
Given FC Bayern’s clear stance, a transfer this coming winter seems practically impossible. Pavlović himself also feels a strong connection to his boyhood club and is reportedly not currently considering a move.
Real Madrid, PSG, and the two Manchester clubs will likely continue to closely monitor his development. For Bayern Munich, however, the situation is clear: even a potential €100 million offer from Manchester City will not change their future plans regarding Pavlović.
Manchester City’s situation is up-in-the-air, as no one knows at this point if the club will even be in play for transfers in the coming windows. As for the other clubs, Bayern Munich could consider them all serious threats.
However, last time Manchester City came calling for Pavlović, the youngster turned the Premier League club down. With what we can assume will be a mega-offer from any of these clubs, will Pavlović have the same resolve?
BuLi goal scoring is off the charts…literally (Opta Franz)
The Bundesliga is setting a new standard for scoring this season:
172 – In the first five matchdays of this Bundesliga season, 172 goals were scored (3.8 per game), which is a new record in Bundesliga history (the previous one was 170 goals in 1984/85).
Spectacle.
Imagine what will happen when Bayern Munich really starts to hit its stride.
NUFC planning without Woltemade? (TEAMtalk)
Newcastle United seems like it is planning its future without Nick Woltemade. Right now, there is no chance he will return to the club from Juventus in January, but the future beyond that is even more murky for the Germany international:
Newcastle United have no plans for Nick Woltemade to return to the club in January and Juventus cannot simply cancel his loan, though the Bianconeri are considering moves to sign three other strikers, TEAMtalk understands.
Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Woltemade’s season-long loan to Juventus is set to continue despite the German forward yet to establish himself as a regular starter in Serie A and having endured a lukewarm start to life in Turin.
A season-long loan was agreed between the clubs, but sources can confirm that the deal contains no termination clause and nor was one included in the agreement.
That was, in part, because Juventus were not covering Woltemade’s full wages, meaning the Italian giants cannot simply decide to end the arrangement and send him back to Newcastle in January.
The only way Woltemade could return to Tyneside during the winter window would be if Newcastle agreed to cancel the loan.
However, sources have confirmed that is highly unlikely at this point and there are no plans within the Newcastle hierarchy for Woltemade to return this season, with another strong reason also emerging why a recall simply isn’t in anyone’s best interests and despite the Bianconeri also having their eyes on potential upgrades in January…
There is another significant twist to the situation, too. Having already represented Newcastle earlier in the season before featuring for Juventus, Woltemade is unable to join another club until next summer.
That means that, whatever happens with his role in Turin or Juventus’ recruitment plans, the forward is set to remain in black and white for the rest of the campaign. A January move elsewhere is not an option, leaving him to fight for his place at Juventus unless Newcastle agree to an unlikely early cancellation of the loan.
Italian sources have also confirmed that, despite bringing Woltemade to Turin, Juventus continue to assess other attacking options.
While these are all standard loan procedures, it does raise this question: “Does Newcastle see any future at all with Woltemade?”
That might be tough to answer at the moment and definitely does offer a promising outlook for the German striker. At best, it seems like Newcastle would be open to selling Woltemade off if they can get a good offer (which is not very likely to happen at this stage).
Too late for Bayern with Yildiz per Falk (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich will not be pursuing former academy star Kene Yildiz despite rumors to the contrary:
✅ It is TRUE: Kenan Yildiz is on the list of many teams in Europe. He’s a big talent and I think that Bayern Munich made a mistake in allowing the player to leave on a free transfer. But now, it’s too late for FC Bayern. If they got him back at the club, they would be admitting to having made a mistake, and it would also mean paying a lot of money to correct this error. It’s not very hot at the minute, but the agents are close to the club, so it’s always a discussion in terms of whether this is a viable option. If other clubs, like Real Madrid, come in and are prepared to pay big money, then Bayern Munich are out of the poker. It is interesting that Yildiz used to be a Bayern youth player and could have ended up providing backup to Harry Kane had he stayed put in Munich. Of course, football doesn’t always work out in the dream scenario. And in this case, Bayern Munich are not in the driver’s seat.
Chelsea eyeing De Jong (ESPN)
Chelsea could be taking a look at FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong:
Chelsea are monitoring Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong’s situation ahead of the January transfer window, reports Spanish outlet Sport. Barça will assess the 29-year-old’s playing time as he returns from a knee injury, with increased midfield competition potentially limiting his opportunities. Chelsea remain attentive after sanctioning Enzo Fernández’s move to Manchester City, while Barcelona have not ruled out any scenario. However, De Jong remains determined to stay and reclaim a starring role under Hansi Flick.
Endrick to Milan? (ESPN)
AC Milan could be looking to give Real Madrid attacker Endrick a place to get consistent playing time in January:
Real Madrid forward Endrick is open to joining AC Milan on loan in January, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. The 20-year-old has indicated that Milan would be among his preferred destinations if Madrid sanctions a winter departure, having struggled for playing time this season. AS Roma and Aston Villa are also interested, but Milan could benefit from owner Gerry Cardinale’s strong relationship with Endrick’s representatives at Roc Nation. Any move remains dependent on Madrid’s approval.
