We are looking for a new site manager at Wide Right & Natty Lite, as well as additional writers. If you already spend a good amount of your days talking about Iowa State athletics, then this might be a perfect opportunity to take that passion to the next level — and get compensated for doing it.
What does it all entail?
This person will be responsible for delivering readers a variety of stories, from analysis, to recruiting coverage from an Iowa State fan’s perspective
through strong writing and editing skills, in addition to leading a small team of dedicated contributors in doing the same.
This person is also savvy at determining the perfect story format and platforms to deliver those stories and keep readers coming back for more.
Finally, this is a fully remote, contract position compensated via a monthly stipend.
What qualifications are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for Iowa State with a strong knowledge of NCAA sports.
- High-motor in the ideation, creation and execution of stories across various platforms.
- Have experience writing clean, easy to edit copy.
- Be comfortable with working remotely and holding themselves accountable for ensuring monthly content goals are met.
