Cincinnati wide receiver Noah Jennings has committed to transferring to Minnesota. He becomes the second transfer wide receiver to sign with the Golden Gophers, joining former Auburn player Perry Thompson.
Jennings has one year of eligibility remaining.
Jennings spent the first two years of his college career at Charleston Southern, where he amassed 72 receptions for 885 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He transferred to Cincinnati a year ago, only to have a pedestrian season with the Bearcats, finishing with 23 receptions for 323 receiving yards.
Neither Jennings nor Thompson is the flashiest signing for the Gophers, who are looking for help at wide receiver next season with starting quarterback Drake Lindsey returning. But head coach P.J. Fleck is likely hoping that new wide receivers coach Isaac Fruechte can turn potential into production at an underperforming position.
