Rumors are circulating that former Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski is headed to Chicago, where the local MLS club is hoping to convince him to play.
The Chicago Fire, who once had Bastian Schweinsteiger on its roster, is hot in pursuit of the Polish striker, who has left Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona. MLS writer Tom Hotze had the story:
Sources: Polish superstar Robert Lewandowski is en route to Chicago for a visit.
Hearing billboards welcoming him to the city are going up around town.
NO signing
yet, but sure seems like the Chicago Fire are rolling out the red carpet for Lewa.

The topic even came up on The Fan Duel show, “Up & Adams”, where host Kay Adams and former USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter (taking a Zoom in the car, which is wild) talked about Lewandowski and how he would be a perfect fit for the big Polish population in Chicago.
