Barcelona are one of several clubs being linked with Etta Eyong as they ponder potential attacking reinforcements ahead of Robert Lewandowski’s expected exit next summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Eyong
is well aware of the interest in his signature and wants to make a decision on his future in the January transfer window.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal are also believed to be keen on the youngster, and it looks like a move is in the offing.
The report states that Barcelona are a “strong option” for Eyong who seems to be a fan. Pictures have emerged recently of him wearing a Barca shirt in his younger days.
Eyong now seems to be in a rush to decide his future, even though he will have to stay on loan at Levante for the rest of the campaign.
The striker is said to have a release clause in his contract set at €30 million for La Liga clubs and €40 million for teams from the Premier League.
Deco has previously said he’s expecting a quiet January window and while Barca do seem keen on Eyong, it’s still not clear if they will be in a position to try and strike an agreement this winter.
