Cesc Fabregas has already be tipped to be a future Barcelona manager after making a great start to his coaching career with Como and reportedly has a clause in his contact if the Catalan giants come calling.
The former midfielder has guided Como into the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history and has his team just three points off top spot in Serie A right now.
There’s been talk already he could head to Camp Nou at some point in the future, and reporter Gianluca Di Marzio told Betarades.gr
that Fabregas’s contract contains an interesting detail.
“Fabregas will leave only Como for a super top club like Barcelona or Arsenal, but they’ve renewed the contract of [Hansi] Flick and Arsenal are obviously happy with [Mikel] Arteta,” Di Marzio explained
“I don’t see him going to the first top club that needs him. He’s like a calculator. He knows that he will coach one of these top clubs. He’s not in a hurry because, even last year, he said no to Inter, no to AS Roma, he said no to Bayer Leverkusen, and also Como didn’t want to let him go.
“He had an exit clause for top clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona, so it depends on which of these clubs will begin to struggle. Everything can change.”
Sergio Busquets has also backed Fabregas for the role recently, saying he thinks it is possible that the Como boss could manage Barca one day.
