The Arizona men’s basketball team is known to stack its schedule with tough opponents with big media opportunities. Arizona women’s basketball didn’t do that this season, but that’s about to change.
Both teams will travel to Las Vegas for the Hall of Fame Series Opening Night. The women will kick off on Monday, Nov. 2 against former Pac-12 rival Stanford. The men will also see a former Pac-12 foe when they take on UCLA in the same event, which features two women’s games and two men’s games.
Although
rumor had it that the Stanford women offered to play all former Pac-12 teams the season after 10 of the 12 teams left, Arizona has not faced the Cardinal since departing for the Big 12 following the 2023-24 season. The two teams split their games that season with each winning on the other’s home court.
The biggest game between the two programs came in 2021 when they faced off for the national championship in San Antonio, Tex. Stanford won that game by one point. The Cardinal have a

The HOF Series games will be played in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It will be the fourth consecutive year that it has been in the city.
The Arizona men took part in the Vegas event this season, defeating Florida 93-87 on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. Both the men and the women took part in the Phoenix leg of the Hall of Fame Series during the 2023-24 season with the men beating Alabama and the women losing to Gonzaga in December of 2023. The men are also set to play Duke in the 2027 edition of the Las Vegas event, which will be held at Allegiant Stadium on Nov. 12, 2027. That field also includes a men’s game between Kansas and Indiana.
All games in the 2026 event will be nationally televised on TNT platforms. Tickets will go on sale in late April.
