Maryland men’s lacrosse made a huge late splash Thursday when 2026 five-star long stick midfielder Ethan Bramoff flipped his commitment from Virginia to the Terps. Prep Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders first reported
the news.
Bramoff is Inside Lacrosse’s No. 14 player in the class of 2026. The Long Island native originally committed to Virginia in September 2024.
It’s a huge addition for head coach John Tillman’s 2026 class, which did not have a five-star recruit before Bramoff. The Terps are set to bring in nine four stars — the highest of which is ranked No. 36 — and three long stick midfielders other than Bramoff.
