Florida State (3-5, 1-4 ACC) is set to play its first game since the firing of Mike Norvell this Saturday, facing off against the Boston College Eagles (4-4. 2-3 ACC) on the road.
The Seminoles, who are 6.5-point favorites, are seeking their first road win in 1,075 days.
Ahead of the matchup, both squads released their initial availability reports. FSU has been ravaged by injuries in recent weeks, with it being announced earlier this week that wide receiver Duce Robinson will miss the rest of the season
with a torn ACL. Wednesday’s availability report revealed that two key players will be out this week, both on the defensive line, as Kevin Wynn and Deante McCray are both listed as out.
Florida State’s running back room has been hit particularly hard, with both Sam Singleton Jr. and Ousmane Kromah out for the season, and current starter Tre Wisner is listed as questionable. Freshman running back Amari Thomas served as Wisner’s backup last week, with former walk-on Zay Parks behind him. Gavin Markey, also a former walk-on who joined the Seminoles as a tight end, converted to running back during the offseason and would likely be listed as the third back should Wisner not be able to lay.
