Lamine Yamal’s time with Spain hasn’t always been smooth sailing, with Barcelona having been critical of the way he’s been handled by the national team in the past.
The teenager is back with La Roja for international friendlies against Serbia and Egypt and has been taking it easy so far.
Yamal didn’t take part in Tuesday’s training session with the team. Instead he enjoyed a little session with Aymeric Laporte and Marcos Llorente.
The trio aren’t injured, it’s purely a case of managing their workload
at a busy time in the season, according to local reports.
Hansi Flick and Barcelona will certainly be hoping that their players can return unscathed from the latest round of fixtures and that manager Luis de la Fuente does a good job of managing their minutes during the upcoming friendlies.
Yamal has joined Barca team-mates Joan Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres, and Dani Olmo in the Spain squad. Their first fixture is against Serbia in Villarreal.
