Rob Manfred says that MLB could expand into another Canadian market, the next time expansion rolls around. That won’t be soon, they need to keep viable cities to blackmail current MLB cities into giving them money for parks or whatever else a local owner wants the local government to pay for.

And Manfred says he’s

not think about just Montreal, but maybe Vancouver. I very much doubt that Vancouver is high on their list, with it being close to Seattle and all, but it helps MLB to list as many sites as they can to make the bidding go up.
