It’s the final Seahawks Reacts of March! The NFL Draft is just a month away, and the Seattle Seahawks are picking last in the first round because, well, they won the Super Bowl. If you want us to stop writing that in the opening paragraph then feel free to speak up.
It’s been seven
years since the Seahawks traded their native first-round pick on draft night. Schneider turned pick 21 into several other picks, starting with Marquise Blair in the second round. Meanwhile, the other first-rounder from the Kansas City Chiefs (via the Frank Clark trade) was used on L.J. Collier. Welp. That’s been the end of trade-downs for Schneider. The Seahawks have not moved off their spot in the first round since then—they even stood firm in 2021 when they only had a second-rounder as their top selection.
What lies ahead for this year’s draft? Will Schneider stick and pick? Trade up in a stunner? Trade down and accumulate more picks? And if he accumulates more picks, how many will he get? What if the Seahawks somehow have fewer than four selections like the three they had in 2021?
These two questions are tied together! Make your predictions in the survey form below!
