Indiana men’s basketball head coach Darian DeVries gave a handful of updates on his team’s health during a press conference ahead of the Hoosiers’ matchup against Kansas State on Tuesday night in Simon
Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Hoosiers have been without two guards, Aleksa Ristic and Jason Drake and one forward, Josh Harris, for the first few games of the season. Asked about their status, DeVries said they’re making progress but there’s no solid timeline on their return just yet:
“They’re getting better,” DeVries said. “That’s the main thing. They’re all progressing, starting to do more things within practice, so that’s a good sign. We’ll be excited, again, to have those guys back and get them started working back into some minutes into the lineup and things.”
Ristic and Drake returning would be important because Indiana could use some ballhandling depth coming in off the bench. The Hoosiers have had to rotate between two starters, Tayton Conerway and Conor Enright, to run point through fives games.
