What is the story about?
The Michigan Wolverines lost their third quarterback this offseason on Monday, as veteran backup Mikey Keene has entered his name into the transfer portal.
Beginning his career with UCF, Keene played two seasons there before transferring to Fresno State ahead of the 2023 season. During his time with the Bulldogs, Keene passed for nearly 6,000 yards and 42 touchdowns and became one of the most coveted quarterback options
in last season’s transfer market.
Electing to join the Wolverines, Keene’s opportunity to challenge Bryce Underwood was short-lived, as an injury derailed any momentum he carried with him to Ann Arbor. Keene never threw a pass for the Wolverines.
We wish Keene nothing but the best for his final college football season.
