Bayern Munich comes off defeat to Barcelona in the UEFA Women’s Champions League to conclude its domestic campaign. Although the Frauen-Bundesliga title is already clinched, there remain just a few more games to go — and today’s matchup against fifth-placed TSG Hoffenheim will be one of the stiffer tests.
A perfect domestic season is on the line; Bayern boasts a 22-1-0 record so far.
“I think we’re in for a tough game against Hoffenheim. The teams who play against us at the Campus always give everything
and want to get a result here. We need to be ready for that. Even though we’ve already won the title, we still need to perform at our best because we absolutely want to win this match. That requires all of us and we want to show our quality on the pitch. Prediction: Bayern wins, 2-0. Hoffenheim has a stout defense, but Bayern’s will prove better and the Bavarians will look to close out the season with fewer than ten goals conceded.
