Every NFL season produces a handful of surprises. A veteran turns back the clock, a rookie becomes an instant contributor, or an unheralded player suddenly becomes a fan favorite. The Los Angeles Rams have built one of the league’s deepest offensive rosters, creating plenty of opportunities for unexpected breakout performances.
Some of these predictions may seem aggressive today, but that’s what makes them fun. If even half of them become reality, Sean McVay’s offense could once again rank among the NFL’s
elite. Here are 12 bold predictions for the Rams playmakers on offense.
Matthew Stafford
Prediction: Becomes first QB to throw for 40+ touchdowns in 4 different seasons
Right now, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Matthew Stafford are the only quarterbacks in NFL history with 3 seasons of 40+ touchdown passes. Stafford is coming off a season in which he threw 46. It will be tough for him to match that total but getting to 40 again is achievable.
Kyren Williams
Prediction: Leads league in total touchdowns
Kyren Williams has already proven he’s one of football’s best red-zone weapons. This season, he takes another step by finishing first in the league in total touchdowns.
Whether it’s inside the five-yard line or catching passes out of the backfield, Williams becomes nearly unstoppable near the goal line and cements himself as one of fantasy football’s biggest stars.
Blake Corum
Prediction: Leads Rams in rushing yards
It might be crazy to predict that Kyren Williams leads the league in touchdowns and Corum leads the Rams in rushing yards but the Rams seem destined to go to a 50-50 split with their running back room. I think Corum is likely to see a lot of action between the 30s, while Kyren Williams takes on the bulk on the redzone duties. That’s not to say Williams won’t be used before that but I think Corum’s speed and explosiveness is a notch higher than Kyren.
Puka Nacua
Prediction: Eclipses 1800 yards
Puka becomes the 7th player in NFL history to break the 1800 receiving yard mark.
CJ Daniels
Prediction: Records a two touchdown game
The Rams have typically been slow to incorporate their rookies and with the Rams running 13 personnel at a reasonable clip, it will be difficult for Daniels to get on the field. But Daniels could take the WR3 spot by the halfway point. I don’t think its out of the realm of possibilities for him to have one big scoring game.
Konata Mumpfield
Prediction: Records a five catch game
Davante Adams believes Mumpfield is the truth. It is bold praise for a 2025 7th rounder. Mumpfield only had 10 catches last season but saw offensive snaps in all 17 games. Is snap share percentage in the second half of the season was hovering around 40-50%. Some of that was because of Adams’s injury late in the year but either way his game experience in his rookie year will be useful going into year two.
Davante Adams
Prediction: Best season since 2022
There is no hiding that Adams is on his decline. His burst is definitely less than what it was in previous years. However, he still poses a significant threat in the red zone and his size is a huge weapon on the outside.
The key here is that Adams and Stafford will have an actual training camp this summer as opposed to last year in which Stafford missed the bulk of it because of his lingering back issue. I believe Stafford being on the field this summer will give the two superstars more rapport with one another and lead to a bigger receiving year for Adams. I think 1200 receiving yards and double digit touchdowns is in the cards.
Colby Parkinson
Prediction: Parkinson earns a 3-year contract extension with Rams
A lot of people think that Parkinson is a trade chip because of the Rams surplus at tight end. Except, Davis Allen is a free agent after this year and Tyler Higbee is on his last life. That leaves Terrance Ferguson and Max Klare. Both Ferguson and Klare are more suited to be flex tight ends while Parkinson fits the role of an in-line/hybrid blocking tight end.
Parkinson is also a California native and I think his preference will be to stay put, especially with a team that values using tight ends! Who wouldn’t want to be on the field? I think he gets another 3 year deal.
Terrance Ferguson
Prediction: Leads the Rams tight ends in receiving yards and touchdowns
We all could see that Stafford and Ferguson were so close throughout the season but could never quite fire on all cylinders – similar to Davante Adams. Ferguson now has his rookie year under his belt and is beginning to nail down the nuances of a difficult position, especially in a Sean McVay offense.
I believe the Rams have big plans for Ferguson in the flex role and some of those seam routes with the tight ends are going to be frequent plays for the Rams this year.
Tyler Higbee
Prediction: Records a 100 yard receiving game
Bold. But every now and then Higbee just goes off in a game. He almost accomplished the mark in the Rams last game against the Cardinals in 2025. In the 2024 Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings, he had a dominant first half before suffering an injury
Davis Allen
Prediction: Earns a 3 year deal this offseason
I might be floating outside the season here. But Davis Allen is a solid football player. He is just clouded by a lot of other great football playmakers. I think Davis Allen is a prime candidate to land with a Sean McVay type offense. So look for him to go to Minnesota, Arizona, Cincinnati, or Jacksonville. Allen’s career path might look a little similar to Colby Parkinson who began to emerge after his third NFL season.
Max Klare
Prediction: Tallies two scores in rookie season
Max Klare faces an uphill climb to getting on the field with four experienced tight ends ahead of him. The reality is that one of those tight ends will get get banged up this year. Klare will get on the field at some point whether its in garbage time or as substitute piece because of missing pieces.
