The No. 23 Wisconsin Badgers are back in action on Monday night, taking on the SIUE Cougars at the Kohl Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
The Badgers enter Monday as 25.5-point favorites
after starting the season with blowout wins over Campbell, Northern Illinois, and Ball State. They had only one game last week, beating Ball State 86-55. That win moved them up one spot in the AP Top 25 from No. 24 to No. 23, and they’ll have a big chance to move up this week as they travel to face the No. 9 BYU Cougars on Friday.
But first, they’ll take on an SIUE team that has gone 3-1 to start the season with wins over Drake and UTSA, as well as a loss to Indiana State. They are 2-0 on the road and are led by guard Ring Malith, who averages nearly 18 points per game.
SIUE has a top-15 scoring defense in the country through four games, holding opponents to under 60 points per game. They’ll have their hands full with Wisconsin’s offense, but the Badgers will also need to start off strong as they have in their last two games.
Wisconsin has seen several different players take over games this year, having a different leading scorer in all three.
They’ll now look to secure their fourth consecutive blowout win on Monday over a feisty SIUE team. Join us as our game thread is officially open!
