Fresh off a 96-87 victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, the Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the Penn State Nittany Lions on Thursday, looking to extend their recent four-game win streak.
In their win
over the weekend, Wisconsin got off to a hot 51-29 start by halftime, catching fire offensively with eight threes and shooting over 50 percent from the field. They also had a strong defensive start, holding Rutgers below a point per possession by limiting threes, second-chance opportunities, and forcing tough shots inside the perimeter.
The second half was far less promising, though, as Wisconsin allowed 58 points, with Rutgers cutting the lead into single digits before putting the game away. Still, they extended their win streak to four wins and will look to continue that against Penn State.
The Nittany Lions have started the season 9-9, but have gone a whopping 0-7 in Big Ten play, tied for worst in the conference. Penn State has lost eight of its last nine games, scoring over 80 points just once. They’ve scored 76.8 points per game this season, while allowing 76.3 points per contest.
