The Eagles already have a long list of injured players, and it may have gotten a little longer early on against the Rams, with Saquon Barkley going down on the first play of their second drive. The running back carried the ball for six yards out of bounds, but appeared to slip or pull up just as he got to the sideline and proceeded to hobble around before taking a knee.
Barkley looked to be punching his hamstring before he made his way very gingerly to the medical tent, and eventually went back to the locker
room. The Eagles listed the RB as questionable to return with a hamstring injury.
The Eagles offense is already without DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Hollywood Brown, not to mention they’re missing Lane Johnson and Fred Johnson from up front. Without Barkley, they’ll turn to Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley for a committee approach, but both RBs are capable backups.
Barkley already missed most of the Eagles Week 2 against the Titans with a stinger, and now could miss more time as he deals with a leg injury.
