We waited months and months for it to arrive, and now the Oxnard, California part of training camp is over. Every year this is the first real taste of what a Dallas Cowboys team might look like for that season.
So far, the reviews are good and the vibes are positive. No contract dramas, no Jerry Jones trading star players, no real incidents that make the fanbase groan. The team has banked two good wins in preseason games and had a strong showing in a joint practice against the contender-worthy Rams.
Looking back on the weeks in Oxnard, we want to know your favorite player’s story. We narrowed it down to five choices:
- George Pickens has no contract drama around his franchise tag and has dominated in camp. We love to see it.
- Jaishawn Barham becoming a force before our very eyes as a linebacker.
- Camden Brown becoming the pet cat and making spectacular plays in a bid for a roster spot.
- Shavon Revel Jr. showing us his potential first-round talent after finding his confidence versus Pickens and CeeDee Lamb.
- Caleb Downs simply existing as a Cowboys player. No other explanation needed.
