Time is starting to tick in the summer transfer window and Barcelona still do not have a replacement for star striker Robert Lewandowski.
A very healthy offer has been made for Argentina star Julian Alvarez but Atletico have made it clear they don’t want to sell, particularly to a La Liga rival.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has also said the club’s offer is not unlimited, hinting that it will expire at the end of this month.
Laporta claims Barcelona are working on alternatives and they may well
be needed if the Catalans can’t persuade Atletico to sell Alvarez despite the fact he has said he wants to leave.
