It has been a busy few days for the Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff as the transfer portal is filling up with plenty of options to help fill out the roster.
With Cutter Boley now off to Arizona State,
Will Stein and his offensive staff will now be looking to add a starting quarterback to the list of positions needed.
At the moment, the biggest name tied to the Cats is Arizona State transfer QB, Sam Leavitt. There is plenty of momentum with UK at the moment, but now Lane Kiffin and LSU have entered the picture, blurring the overall recruitment for the moment. That has led plenty in the BBN to start looking at the next best options.
With players like DJ Lagway and Dylan Raiola still out there, it is a recent entrant that might be a player to monitor.
Monday afternoon, LSU Tigers QB Michael Van Buren entered his name into the portal. Shortly after, returning Kentucky linebacker Sam Greene sent this tweet:
Now, tying Van Buren to Kentucky is not a stretch, as he has ties to both Stein and OC Joe Sloan. Being recruited to Oregon by Stein and playing for Sloan at LSU, could they reunite in Lexington next season?
Well, it will definitely be a recruitment to monitor.
