With the World Cup entering its second full week, we’ll get our second look at the 48 nations vying for the Jules Rimet Trophy. Thursday’s action features co-hosts Mexico and Canada defending their home turf against Qatar and South Korea, respectively, while Atlanta hosts Czechia and South Africa, with a BiH-Swiss fixture in LA sandwiched in between.
It’s probably still too early for table watching, but a victory over South Korea would put Mexico on six points and in the driver’s seat in Group A.
Things are tighter in Group B, with all four nations even on one point, making today a pivotal moment. So, while Thursday’s action may be lacking household names, these promise to be four tightly contested fixtures.
