Someone was shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last weekend in Washington, DC. Judging by the recent video of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog roasting UFC CEO Dana White, it appears someone was bombing, as well.
Have a look:
I guess Toonces the Driving Cat was unavailable.
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is a puppet voiced by Robert Smigel and had a brief
run atop the late night talk show circuit back in the latter half of the nineties. Smigel and his cigar-smoking Rottweiler went on to appear in comedic situations both on and off television.
Shortly after White’s rubber puppet roast, some wacko opened fire, striking a Secret Service officer before getting detained. White found the experience to be “awesome,” which I guess makes sense when you compare it to his agonizing segment with Triumph.
I hear next year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner will be hosted by Mr. Bill.
