Arijon Ibrahimović and Nathaniel Brown are both looking to break through at Bayern Munich this season and can use each other for support thanks to a pre-existing relationship that dates back to their days in the FC Nürnberg youth academy per Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Nathaniel Brown already has a best friend at Bayern: Arijon Ibrahimović. The latter is helping Brown settle in quickly at the club. As early as Monday, Ibrahimović gave Brown a ride in his car to the performance tests at Säbener
Straße. At the training camp at Tegernsee, the two often cycled side-by-side from the team hotel to training and also arrived together on the pitch for the first session on Tuesday afternoon.
Background of the friendship: Brown played in the youth academy of 1. FC Nürnberg from 2016 to 2019, including alongside Arijon Ibrahimović’s brother Leunard in the U17s. During that time, Brown got to know and appreciate the entire Ibrahimović family – and a friendship developed that is now proving invaluable to Brown as he settles in at Bayern.
It always helps to have a familiar and friendly face around, so this should be beneficial to both players. Ibrahimović is seeking to find his place in Bayern Munich’s incredible attack, while Brown is expected to be in a heated competition with Alphonso Davies for the starting left-back job.
Clearly, both are in for a fun — yet rugged — stretch.
