Good news — Tottenham didn’t lose! Bad news — they didn’t win, either. That said, there’s probably a lot more to be happy with than disappointed about after Tottenham Hotspur drew Brighton & Hove Albion 2-2 at the AmEx today.
Spurs went down 2-0 in the first half thanks to goals from Yankuba Minteh and Yasin Ayari, but Richarlison clawed back a scrappy goal right before halftime. Tottenham pushed forward for much of the second half before equalizing thanks to a late own goal from Brighton’s Jan Paul
van Hecke. Both teams had opportunities to nick a win in the rain, but neither could put the ball in the back of the net and the points are shared.
As I said on Bluesky:
It’s time to rate the players.
Rate the players from 1⁄2 to 5 stars. If the player doesn’t deserve a rating due to minutes played, DO NOT RANK. I will round the stars up/down to the nearest half-star for the player ratings later this week.
