Newcastle United are among the Premier League clubs exploring a potential summer move for an Inter Milan forward.
According to CaughtOffside, the Magpies will pursue a transfer for Inter’s Marcus Thuram come summertime.
CaughtOffside’s Ahad Shaukat reported that the France international is attracting growing interest ahead of the 2026 transfer window, with indications that he could be open to a new challenge outside of Italy’s Serie A after having played there since 2023.
“The French international striker
is attracting significant interest from Premier League clubs eager to add proven attacking quality to their squads, sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside,“ Shaukat wrote.
Thuram, 28, has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 22 Serie A appearances this season, entering the international break. Throughout his stint in Milan, he’s scored 34 goals in 90 games.
Thuram has often been used in different roles, showing his flexibility on the pitch and drifting wide or dropping deeper to link play, something that would benefit a Newcastle side in dire need of reinforcements in the final third.
From a financial perspective, CaughtOffside claims negotiations with Inter for Thuram might be complex. The estimation about a potential fee places Thuram’s value around €60 million, but Inter are reportedly seeking at least €70 million.
The report also references a supposed release clause set at around €85 million, which is scheduled to become active in July.
Despite reported interest from the Saudi Pro League, Thuram is understood to prioritise sporting ambition over financial considerations. As always with these stories, no formal bid from Newcastle has been confirmed, and Inter have not publicly indicated a willingness to sell their player.
