Day 3 of Cleveland Browns training camp took place on Friday, July 31. This was the first day that practice was open to the public, which always adds a greater dimension of fun to the atmosphere.

for Practice: One of the goals for today’s practice was to work on third-and-extra long situations, 3-level routes, and no huddle offense:

4. Watson Intercepted Again: Interceptions always stand out like a sore thumb in a quarterback training camp competition, especially when the fanbase doesn’t really care for you. Here is Deshaun Watson getting picked off by LB Quincy Wilson during practice:
5. Catch of the Day: We promise that we’re not trying to be biased, but we’ll follow up the previous bullet point with a great catch from WR Denzel Boston on a downfield throw from QB Shedeur Sanders:

6. Don’t Forget About Him: Cleveland still likes S Ronnie Hickman and just extended S Grant Delpit, but don’t forget that they also placed a big investment in S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren when they drafted him in the second round this year. He saw some work with the first-team defense today.

8. A Little Improv? I assume that this was planned, as opposed to being improvised, but after a short completion to WR Greg Larvadain over the middle, he lateraled to RB Ahmani Marshall toward the outside:
8. Jimmy Haslam Speaks: Team owner Jimmy Haslam talked to the media after practice. He made reference to wanting to be a contending playoff team in 2027, but then discussed the expectations for the 2026 season:
9. Puppy Pound Returns: The Puppy Pound is back! It’s always a fun tradition camp, where puppies take on player names with a twist thrown in:

Brownies: The Browns will practice in pads for the first time on Monday. … Before practice, Todd Monken was critical of the team having nine pre-snap penalties during Sunday’s practice. … TE Harold Fannin was excused for personal reasons, making that two tight ends who are currently excused. … OG Teven Jenkins and DT Kalia Davis did not practice. … LB Carson Schwesinger said that he connected with Hall of Fame linebacker Luke Kuechly this offseason. … QB Dillon Gabriel had been having a fine practice, but LB Nathaniel Watson intercepted him near the end of practice. … ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi sat with some fans in the bleachers during practice.
