WWE wrestler Logan Paul publicly distanced himself from his brother Jake’s denunciation of Bad Bunny over the Puerto Rican megastar’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
On Sunday, Jake Paul called on his X (Twitter) followers to boycott the halftime show. He also called Bad Bunny as a “fake American citizen performing” who “publicly hates America.” (As noted in an X community note attached to Paul’s post, people who live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens.)
His older brother Logan quickly rejected this stance with his own X message.
“I love my brother but I don’t agree with this,” Logan tweeted. “Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island.”
Jake later backtracked somewhat in another X post about his earlier “fake American” comment, saying the insult was directed at Benito’s values and not his status as a Puerto Rican.
Jake, who lives in Puerto Rico, said in his second post that he loves the U.S. island territory, but he denounces people “publicly criticizing ICE” and “openly hating on America.”
Meanwhile, Logan is employed by a company that attracted much mainstream media attention by working with Bad Bunny. Around the same time that Logan first began making WWE cameos before launching a full-time wrestling career, the music star made a handful of heralded wrestling appearances from 2021 through 2023. Bad Bunny’s time in the company saw him win the 24/7 Championship, compete in a Royal Rumble, wrestle in a WrestleMania, and defeat Damien Priest in a San Juan Street Fight at Backlash in Puerto Rico.
On top of that, at least one recent report suggests WWE fans could expect to see him again soon. During Friday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that “Bad Bunny is going to end up back in WWE very soon. Sooner rather than later, everybody, just so you all know.”
Should Bad Bunny reappear in WWE, he would likely be welcomed back by at least some high-profile members of the roster, judging by wrestlers’ reactions on social media to his halftime performance.
Damien Priest posted on Instagram of the performance: “So proud. Thank you @badbunnypr.” Then, in Spanish, Priest wrote: “Always representing with pride and love. Positivity for the world.”
WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Nikki Bella commented on Priest’s post by expressing their love for the halftime show. Elsewhere, NXT Star Lola Vice wrote: “PROUD LATINA BABY #BENITOBOWL,” and Michin posted a simple yet excited: “BAD BUNNNNNNYYYYY.”
Cody Rhodes also joined in on the praise, posting in his Instagram stories: “[fire emoji] performance bad bunny. (Nearly took a back bump on the Ricky Martin run in…awesome)”
While Logan is on the WWE roster and getting plenty of television time as a member of The Vision, Jake also has ties with the wrestling promotion. He notably made an appearance during his brother’s match against then-Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns during 2022’s Crown Jewel.
More recently, Jake wore ring gear that payed homage to Hulk Hogan for his boxing match against Anthony Joshua on December 19, 2025. Joshua defeated Paul decisively with a knockout in the sixth round, breaking Pauls’ jaw in the process.
Do you want to see Bad Bunny return to WWE? Would you like to see him take on Logan and/or Jake Paul? Sounds off in the comments with all your Bad Bunny-related thoughts.
