UFC veteran Ricardo Ramos is one of five fighters recently removed from the roster either via release or the end of a current contract with the promotion.
Additional fighters purged from the roster include
Marcin Prachnio, Lukasz Brzeski, Marek Bujlo and Yusaku Kinoshita.
UFC officials confirmed the roster changes to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Ramos exits the UFC roster after first debuting with the organization back in all the way back in 2017. While his run with the UFC ended after a 1-4 resume in his final five fights, Ramos provided more than a few highlights during his tenure with the promotion, including his spectacular spinning back elbow knockout over Aiemann Zahabi.
He delivered a second spinning back elbow knockout with his win over Danny Chavez in 2022 but dropped his final two fights with the UFC after falling to Kaan Ofli and Chepe Mariscal.
Meanwhile, Prachnio spent the past seven years competing in the UFC with his biggest win coming in 2021 when he earned a decision win over future title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr. Prachio went 1-3 in his final four fights with the UFC include back-to-back losses to Jimmy Crute and Modestas Bukauskas.
Brzeski’s run wih the UFC comes to a close after seven fights with just one win along the way after he defeated Valter Walker via decision in 2024.
Bujlo only got one fight in the UFC after he debuted and lost against Denzel Freeman in November while Kinoshita suffered back-to-back losses in his only appearances in the UFC before being removed from the roster.
As with all fighters no longer under contract, the UFC could opt to bring any of them back at a later date but for now all five are off the roster.
