Nobody seems to know how injured NXT’s Sol Ruca is, or even if the Women’s Speed and now former North American champion is really hurt.
Shawn Michaels and team do a great job keeping secrets locked down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Even in kayfabe we haven’t been given a diagnosis for Ruca’s injury or injuries, just that she’s “not cleared”.
And it’s certainly worked out pretty well for NXT, the way Sol’s injury played perfectly into the long-anticipated break-up of her alliance
with Zaria (who volunteered to defend it for Ruca at Halloween Havoc), and the first championship win for a wrestler WWE has big plans for (Blake Monroe, who beat Zaria last Saturday after she checked on her downed partner at ringside).
But while we wait to see the fallout of Halloween Havoc’s unusual title change on The CW tonight (Oct. 28), the surfer-gimmicked champ is selling her injury — and tickets to next month’s Deadline premium live event — on her Instagram Story:
Along with a clip of her time in the Iron Survivor Challenge at last year’s Deadline, Ruca wrote:
I may not be cleared just yet, but I’m doing everything in my power to be at NXT Deadline.
The she provided a link to tickets for the Sat., Dec. 6 PLE in San Antonio, like a good worker.
