The 1990s Yankees can rest a little easier after last night, as the two-time defending champion Dodgers were officially eliminated by the Milwaukee Brewers in a convincing sweep. It was a complete reversal of last year’s NLCS, as the Brew Crew exacted revenge for getting swept back then while making history in the process. Now that there will be no more attempt at a three-peat, the dynasty Yankees remain the only team in MLB history to have accomplished this feat in the last half-century, and the chances
of their run ending any time soon grow incredibly small considering how long it took for a repeat champion to even emerge.
We’ve got a full schedule ahead of us for today, starting with Andrew going over all the ups and downs of that thrilling conclusion to the NLCS alongside the Guardians picking up the win in the ALCS. John goes over some of the most egregious errors the Yankees made defensively this season, Jonathan takes us back to the days of Tim McCarver on his birthday, Josh ponders the Yankees’ impending free agent class, Jeremy relives the biggest surprises of the season, and Andres evaluates Brian Cashman’s work in 2026 to close out the afternoon slate.

Questions/Prompts:
1. With the news that the Yankees reportedly aren’t going to offer Jazz Chisholm Jr. the qualifying offer, is that curtains on his time in the Bronx? Is there any chance he re-signs in free agency?
2. Now that the Brewers have made it back to the World Series for the first time since 1982, how good are their odds to win it all against Tampa or Cleveland?
