The UFC Meta Rankings have been updated following the UFC Vegas 122 MMA event last weekend at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Rising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight Alice Pereira made her mark on the show (and on the forehead of Darya Zheleznyakova). Herbrutal ground-and-poundearned her the retirement TKO win.
That win has her debuting on the UFC women’s bantamweight rankings, at number twelve. Zheleznyakova exits the list as a result. Pereira, at 20-years-old, is now the youngest
women to feature on the UFC’s official rankings. She beats Maycee Barber’s record of reaching the rankings as a 21 year-old, in December 2019.
That’s not all.
Brendan Allen got a late submission finish in the main event, over Christian Leroy Duncan, on Saturday. That is good enough to move him up one spot into fourth. He trails just Nassourdine Imavov, Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev behind champion Sean Strickland. He goes up at the expense of Joe Pyfer, who fights Bo Nickal in December.
The biggest riser in the rankings was Loopy Godinez, she went up three places after her very close decision over Ketlen Souza on Saturday.
