He then swapped Munich red for Madrid white in 2021 after 12 years with the club. After an unsuccessful period in Spain, it looks like he’s off to the next chapter of his career.

He’s the reason why I supported Bayern and given my disdain for Real Madrid, it was bitter seeing him make the switch in 2021. Now though, I hope he can have one last shot at glory before hanging up his boots.
