AC Milan were linked with Nicolas Jackson earlier this summer, but that story went nowhere, and neither has Jackson, at least so far. Similarly, fellow surplus player Christopher Nkunku has not yet sorted out his future either. He was linked with Inter Milan earlier this summer, among others.
But now it’s AC Milan who are supposedly interested in the 27-year-old forward, and for once, that interest appears to be strong enough to involve an actual transfer fee. I know! Shocking. Not a word about any
loans or options, but just a straight up bid of around €30-40m. Only four other times have Milan spent that much on a player since 2020 (one of them was Fikayo Tomori). Of course, there’s plenty of time yet for this to turn into a free loan with 50 per cent wages and a buy-option of €10m, but perhaps we can hope to agree a decent deal.
The Rossoneri are said to be “close” to agreeing personal terms with Christo, so if they can indeed pony up a reasonable offer, we might be in business with them (again).
